LifeBooks have been around for a long while. They hold the history of a child up to the time that child is able to join their forever family. I made an extremely detailed LifeBook (50+ pages) for my China-born daughter when she was 10 months old. That LifeBook weighs 20 pounds...BEFORE she adds her own artwork and thoughts to it. I realized it would be years before she could read this epic and even longer before she could process and claim it. Assuming she could ever lift it! :) The simpler, lighter, basic "Toddler" version was my answer. Start reading your child's own story to them at bedtime! Let them fall asleep wrapped up in your love. |
